Cynical Reader

Give me a happily-ever-after fairy-tale and I'll fight you every step of the way, but give me a tragic, grief-ridden story and I'll let it consume me.

The Girl of Fire and Thorns - Rae Carson It was a slow start but by the end we were good friends. Elisa was likable. At first I was afraid the whole God thing was going to get too "preachy" but the more I read I felt like it was their culture and not a way for the author to push her beliefs (because that really bugs me). I liked that some of the events actually shocked me, it wasn't predictable.

I can't wait to see what happens next =D
